Why Mementom never asks for your identity

Your photo never leaves your device. We calculate a unique number from your image on your device and use that number to verify your key. Mementom never receives the photo.

When companies require your identity and your data, they link what you do to who you are. That link can connect your activity across records and enable unwanted emails, texts and phone calls.

Those records can be sold, hacked or handed over when a company is legally compelled to disclose them. A privacy promise does not remove the data it holds.

Mementom asks for no name, phone number or email tied to your identity to create a personal key. You can receive permitted campaign messages through Mementom’s identity-free email. When hacked (which everything will be eventually) or compelled to disclose data identified to you, we cannot reveal data linked to an identity we never had.

Where does your data come from?

Companies themselves. As you browse partner sites, companies can add insights from your activity: what catches your attention, the products you explore and the interests you show.

Snap, Shape, Share. Anything you can photograph or record on video can be a starting point: your wardrobe, a room, a meal or what’s in your refrigerator. Capture it, review the useful details Mementom finds, and decide what to keep and share.

Data packs you fill in. Add your fit, style and taste: clothing measurements, shoe size, favorite colors, food preferences and more. Details from captures can help fill in matching data packs, too.

You are in control. Just because you collect data doesn’t mean you share it. You choose which details to share and can turn sharing on or off at any time.
